Emma has been part of the Wheatones family since the fall of 2017. Singing is one of the greatest joys of Emma's life, and she feels incredibly fortunate to be able to share that passion with like-minded people. Outside of bopping and shoo-wopping with her favorite musical gals, Emma is a member of Emerson House and works as a receptionist for the SAIL and Residential Life office. She also owns a one-eyed Shih Tzu named Lily who she loves from the bottom of her heart!

 Hometown: Portsmouth, NH
Class Year: 2021
Majors: Political Science, Women's and Gender Studies

Kate has been singing with the Wheatones since the fall of 2017. She first discovered her passion for singing after watching her mom's bootleg copy of Mamma Mia! at age six, and is so happy to have found a group of ladies that share her enthusiasm for ABBA. Outside of dancing and jiving with the Wheatones, Kate is Co-President of Emerson House of Feminist Perspectives and a student assistant for the Women's and Gender Studies program. She is also quite the talented impressionist, specializing in Bill Clinton and Owen Wilson. When prompted, she can also sing "God Save the Queen" in a Scottish accent

Maddie Michaud

Hometown: Falmouth, ME
Class Year: 2021
Major: Biology
Minor: Chemistry
Star Sign: Taurus
Maddie joined the Wheatones in the spring of 2020, but although she just joined the Wheatones she has been singing since elementary school in several different vocal groups. Her favorite song to sing when she was little was Somewhere Over the Rainbow (our own little Dorothy)! This multitasking lady is also a Mayfellows scholar, a member of Wheaton Democrats, and works part time at Madeline Wallace Clark Library. She recently left the U.S. for the first time for her semester abroad in New Zealand. We hope the sheep there loved you as much as we do.

Kenz Hubbard

Hometown: Kalaheo, HI
Class Year: 2022
Major: Political Science
Star Sign: Pisces

Kenz has been singing with the Wheatones since the fall of 2018. She's been belting her lungs out all her life--first as a baby, crying in the middle of the night and driving her parents insane, and then as she grew older, singing in the middle of the night and still driving her parents insane. She is grateful to have found a fun group of ladies that are even louder than she can be (and her parents are equally grateful to finally be getting some sleep). Outside of the Wheatones, Kenz plays on Wheaton's Women Soccer team, works as a tour guide and student panelist in the Admissions Office, and is involved in Wheaton's Mayfellows program. She also enjoys piña coladas and getting caught in the rain.

Sarah Simkevich
Pitch Pipe

Hometown: North Kingstown, RI
Class Year: 2022
Majors: Secondary Education, English
Minor: Music Performance
Star Sign: Pisces
Sarah has been singing with the Wheatones since the fall of 2018 and is excited to return for her second year in the group! Music has always been a big part of Sarah's life; she's played the piano since kindergarten, learned to play the cello at age 10, and has sung in various choirs throughout middle and high school. Outside of singing with her favorite group of Wheatone ladies, Sarah works as a tour guide and panelist in Wheaton's Admission Office, helps out as a teacher's assistant at Norton's Head Start School, plays in the Great Woods Symphony Orchestra, and is involved in the May Fellows program on campus. She is also a talented unicyclist, although she's suffered a sprained ankle or two zooming around campus!

Sadie Woodward

Hometown: Rowley, MA
Class Year: 2023
Major: Environmental Studies
Star Sign: Pisces
Sadie began singing with the Wheatones in the spring of 2020. She loves the confidence music gives her and the way it brings all kinds of people together. She loves music and creativity so much that she is also a member of Wheaton's Symphony Orchestra and Craft Club! If you want a little piece of your childhood back, this lady can recite Shel Silverstein poems from memory. We like to think that the Wheatones are like The Giving Tree, Sadie...it will teach you a lot about life and make you cry.

Jayna Thornley
Business Manager

Hometown: Charlestown, RI
Class Year: 2023
Majors: Biochemistry, Hispanic Studies
Star Sign: Scorpio
Jayna joined the Wheatones in the fall of 2019. According to Jayna, she has been singing from the time she was conceived. Her parents are also singers and it gave her a way to bond with both of them. We like to think that Jayna was bopping to Simon & Garfunkel in the womb. You could say she is well travelled since she went to 7 different schools growing up and lived in 10 different homes...no she's not a military kid. *Cue Lindsay Lohan's opening monologue from Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen*.

The lovely ladies in the Wheatones gave Julia the confidence she needed to sing and brought out the best in her voice! Outside of the Wheatones, you can likely find Julia painting in the art studio or enjoying a stroll in the Wheaton Woods!

Alie Violette
Baby Tone

Hometown: Saco, ME
Class Year: 2024
Major: Undeclared
Star Sign: Aquarius

Alie has been singing probably everyday since she crowned. Whether it be in choir, the shower, or her personal favorite: musicals. She says that singing is tied with making people laugh, which she is more than skilled in. Outside of the Wheatones, she enjoys writing, driving, (especially with no set destination), movies, being with family, and reading. She is so grateful and happy to be part of our Wheatones' family and we are thankful to her for being the biggest Ari stan on this side of the Atlantic!
